Cards Cafe has no accounts and no sign-up. We never ask for your name, e-mail, phone number or payment details, and we sell nothing to anyone. This page says exactly what is collected, why, and how to remove it.
This policy covers the website cardscafe.net and the Cards Cafe mobile app, which shows the same site. Cards Cafe is run by an independent solo developer.
The English version of this page is the authoritative one; the other languages are provided for convenience.
No name, e-mail address, phone number, postal address, payment details, precise location, contacts, photos or messages. There is no account to create, and no user database on our servers.
Your progress is stored by your browser on your own device and is never uploaded to us: experience and level, wins, games and moves played, win and play streaks, your café nickname, your chosen card skin and card back, theme, language, the hint setting, first-run and banner flags, your record against each bot, your last match, and the daily-visit marker.
Clearing your browser data for this site deletes all of it permanently. We cannot restore it, because we never had a copy.
We count how the game is used with Umami, an analytics tool we host ourselves on our own server. It sets no cookies, does not follow you to other sites, and the data never leaves our server or reaches a third party.
The events record things like a page being opened, a game started or finished against which bot, a win or a loss, the interface language, and which kind of link the visit arrived from. They are not tied to any identifier that would single you out.
Once per visit the app reports your screen size, pixel density, whether it is running as an installed app, the safe-area insets, and — only if your browser agrees to share them — the phone model and OS version.
This exists to find layout bugs on real devices. The action button was once hidden behind the system navigation bar on certain phones, and there is no other way for us to see that.
We show no adverts inside the game. Some visits, however, arrive from a Google Ads campaign, and to measure whether an advert worked the site can load Google's tag, which may set advertising cookies and share that visit with Google for conversion measurement and remarketing.
This is off by default: Google Consent Mode is set to denied before the tag loads, and in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom we ask first. If you decline, no advertising cookies are set.
When you play a friend by link, your moves and the café nickname you chose pass through our game server so both devices stay in sync. Rooms live only in memory while the game runs and are gone when it ends — nothing about the match is written to disk.
Your opponent sees your nickname and the emoji reactions you send, and nothing else about you.
Cards Cafe is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
You can decline advertising cookies when asked, and change your mind later from the settings menu. You can delete everything the site has stored by clearing site data for cardscafe.net in your browser, or by uninstalling the app.
If you would like us to delete something, or you have a question about this policy, use the Feedback button in the footer or write to hello@cardscafe.net. There is no account to close — deleting your local data is the deletion.
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Continued use after that date means the updated policy applies.
